Experience The Invisible

Iona Rossely   -

What we focus on during our day plays a big role in our walk with the Lord – for many of us we will tend to concentrate on what’s visible, but the Bible tells us that we must set our minds on things we cannot see.

Colossians 3:2 “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” So why and how should we focus on the unseen? None of us need to be a rocket scientist to work out that God’s invisible, which is why we focus on ‘things above’, but how? We live in a three-dimensional world that sucks us into an array of amazing things to look at and interact with every day– some are blessings and gifts from God whilst others are courtesy of the Devil.

One way of becoming aware of the invisible is a greater understanding of God and how he operates. By spending time in God’s word, we gain a greater understanding of our Creator and are more able to become aware that God is with us all the time – no matter where you are.  To consciously ponder on the truth that God is with us and watching us every second of the day can prove to be a real turning point in our lives. But for us to experience his presence in a more real way we must take the time to contemplate and meditate on verses like Psalm 14:2. “The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand any who seek God.”

Allow God’s words to take root in your heart by memorizing passages such as these. The words of the Bible are supernatural words that will transform you.  Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than a two edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit…..”

Read, believe and ponder on the invisible and allow God to be real in your life.
