Prophetic Art Workshop
In January, we piloted a new Prophetic Art Workshop for like-minded creatives within City Hill. We met on Zoom for an interactive session of worship, prayer, soaking and spending time with God. We asked him to give his visions to create, eager to convey His messages through Art.
We were blessed indeed to all receive very clear images which we all, in our varying degrees of artistic skill and prowess, communicated onto paper or canvas through mixed art media such as acrylics, watercolour, pencil and/pens. We were liberated to learn that it really did not matter if we could paint or draw, but just to have a willing heart to listen to God’s message and to be brave to out that onto paper.
The second half of the session resulted in bravery to share our creations and communicate our interpretations to a name that God had possibly placed in our minds.
On other occasions we just shared the image onscreen and allowed members to claim it and share how it spoke to them. Relationships were developed and hearts connected in a way we did not expect.
What we discovered was that our paintings spoke to more than one person and we were all blessed in one way or another. The next stage will be to scan these creations and get them ready for distribution in the future. We cannot wait to see what God has in store for us next!
